So many cozy fall sweaters in the store! Preloved and Paper People Clothing are two new lines we have in of sweaters, cardigans, skirts and dresses that are made from reclaimed wool sweaters. I know I've said it before but this is without a doubt the most eco-friendly way to make clothing. Preloved has been doing it for years and they tell you right on their clothing tags that "by wearing Preloved, you have helped us rescue over 80,000 wool sweaters and 50,000 wool trousers from landfills" - how great is that? And the newly created pieces by both Preloved and Paper People are absolutely fantastic, one-of-a-kind, and they have really been flying out the door so come have a look soon!
Here are a few of the styles we have in.....

Just a reminder that we're closed Monday September 5th (Labour Day). Have a great long weekend!
I've just returned from a lovely little trip to Tofino and there are so many boxes of fall goodies here that I don't know what to unpack first! (Horrible problem to have, I know.) I love fall clothing.....fall colours and fabrics are the best! One of my very favourite fabrics is merino wool. It's so soft and comfortable, has a great texture and always feels dry and cozy. Merino wool is temperature regulating so it helps you feel cool when you're warm and warm when you're cool. It also has moisture wicking and antibacterial properties, is non-itchy and feels great against the skin. What more could you want in a fall fabric??!! The down side is, I think merino wool might be a bit addictive......especially here during our wet winters which we will not speak of right now as it's gorgeous outside!
The brilliant women of We3 have incorporated this amazing fabric into their fall collection. These pieces by We3 are available in merino wool....
We have this top in teal modal as well as black and taupe merino wool. It has such a great fit and shape! The scoop neck top below is available in black and ruby red merino wool....
Many of the fall We3 pieces are made of hemp which is one of the most eco-friendly fabrics available. We have the Treble Tunic below in burgundy....
It can also be worn upside down - yup, upside down! oh those smart We3 gals! - for a shorter top with a large cowl.....
The Staccato Sweater below is also made of hemp and can be worn upside down as well for a completely different look.....
Upside down....
These next two pieces are made of hemp and organic cotton. The contrasting knit and woven fabrics are gorgeous and both tops have a really great shape. This is the We3 Rhythm Blouse.......
And here's the Syncopate Top......
Like the Rhythm Blouse, the Syncopate top has woven fabric in the center and knit sides and sleeves - really beautiful.
More to come tomorrow (and lots more in the store!).
