Reading about the amazing moms who were entered made me laugh out loud and a couple even choked me up.....just a bit. In the end I had to draw a name from a hat because it would have been way too difficult to choose otherwise. The lucky winner picked out an Atelier B. dress that looked absolutely phenomenal on her! I sure hope all of you amazing moms got pampered on Sunday. Now onto other news......

The first We3 spring pieces we received last month got snapped up so quickly that photos never even made it to the blog. Luckily we've received more We3 including some gorgeous new pieces! The structured tunic length vest below has large patch pockets and looks amazing belted or left open.....

The Pep Pants above are available in the grey shown and also a denim blue. The V-neck Kimono Sleeve top below is such a great shape and works for so many body types that we had to get more. We now have it available in white and also grey stripes (but we no longer have the charcoal shown).

LOVE these new locally made leather wrap bracelets by Lorraine Buckrell.....

We have several new Sarah Mulligan Glass necklaces, earrings, and a few leather cuffs as well. They are handmade in Victoria and the iron oxide images are permanently fused into the glass.

All you have to do is send an email to beon6th@telus.net that includes the name and email address of an amazing mom you know, and tell us why you think she's amazing. That's it! Shouldn't be hard, there are so many amazing moms around - and don't be afraid to nominate yourself either!

Emails must be received by midnight this Saturday, May 12th, so we can choose the lucky winner and let her know on Mother's Day. She'll be able to come in and pick out a new dress.......just cause she's amazing!

There are going to be so many exciting, inspiring things to see and do throughout the day. A celebration of visual art, design, music, photography, film, dance........you name it, it's happening! Right on our street at the Art Gallery plaza there will be Fiddlejam, a dance show, and 7 Story Circus on the plaza, plus an underground craft fair in lower Elks hall. And that's just two of many, many downtown venues (which even include the back alleys!).

Designed and produced in Montreal, Josiane Perron is described as having a spirit of "new vintage" and the line "evokes a casual femininity, nostalgic and contemporary". Sounds perfect for a shop that loves to mix vintage and classic with modern and innovative design, doesn't it? Here are a few Josiane Perron spring pieces we have in the store.....

The Hokkaido pants below are made from a light weight hemp and recycled poly blend and they have a fantastic fit. There are no buttons or zipper, just a wide fabric waistband that wraps and ties so that the pants can be worn high waisted or you can fold the waistband over for a lower rise.

Limited edition and super soft, Ole Originals tees are hand printed in Vancouver. They feel just like putting on your favourite tee that you've worn hundreds of times. We have a couple of styles in men's sizes and of course women's....

We actually have this owl print on a brown tee rather than the charcoal shown.....

This is one of the tees we have in men's sizes (it refers to a bike trail that will take you all over Sweden).....

Ahhh the perfect tee for anyone who's growly.......hmmmm........I might just know a few.....
