We have a new line in the store. 'Hanna Dorothy' is produced in Vancouver by designer Hanna Wheale. She describes the line as "understated with cultivated details", and "made with beautiful fabrics that are built to last, the label is minimalist and aims to simplify style for those who want sophistication without effort". Here are a few Hanna Dorothy pieces we have in the store.... We've also received some more Jeni Mack cowl hoodies from Tofino. These cozy, tunic length hoodies flew out the door so quickly last month that we got in a few new colours for those of you who missed out. We have them available in black with moss green, grey with rose, and teal with ivory......
Local super mom, Kindle, and her daughter Aneka are the forces behind 'Sew into Books'. In an effort to raise money for classrooms in need at Courtenay Elementary School, they have handcrafted lovely zippered pouches, phone cases, and decorative bunting from locally sourced reclaimed materials. These items are available for purchase here at the store and 100% of the proceeds will be spent locally on books and educational toys for Courtenay Elementary School. I LOVE this adorable Canadian bunting!!.......
Lucy Schappy is a fabulous local artist who happens to have a warm personality and great personal style. We're fortunate to have some of her colourful art gracing the shop walls right now. We also have Lucy's perpetual calendar "A Colourful Life" available. These perpetual calendars are the perfect way to keep track of birthdays, anniversaries and other special dates as you can use them every year. Another fabulous local woman has recently brought in some more of her upcycled circle scarves. One-of-a-kind, warm and cozy scarves locally made from reclaimed sweaters by a.d.e. Design.... She also brought in some new bags, locally made from buttery soft reclaimed leather...... And new Pyrrha has arrived! Made from authentic 19th century wax seals and handmade in Vancouver from reclaimed silver or bronze, these talismans each come with a little card that tells you about the symbolism and meaning of the seal. Here are just a few we received..... P.S. Our winter sale continues with most remaining winter clothing marked down 20% to 50% off!
