They're here! One-of-a-kind, adorable Edit mittens made from reclaimed wool sweaters and lined with soft, cozy fleece to keep your hands toasty warm. We also have several new Sugar Soul button cloches in the store if you need a hat to go with your mittens! Cathy Terepocki has sent us a new batch of her contemporary ceramics including mugs and tumblers with unique prints. The tumblers can also be used as little vases, pencil holders, even tooth brush holders! Local artist Becky Wortman uses photography to create these beautiful tiles which are available in 3 different sizes...... P.S. Don't forget we're OPEN SUNDAYS now 12-4pm! (until Christmas)

Starting November 25th we'll be OPEN on Sundays from 12-4pm (through December 23rd). Lots of other downtown shops are open on Sundays as well. So if you're coming downtown for the parade this Sunday stop in and say hi! You can look at all the new Pyrrha necklaces we just got in too...
Since discovering atelier b. last winter, the line is becoming a real favourite due to their high quality sustainable fabrics and classic designs. The organic cotton dress above has a cozy continuous kangaroo style pocket and looks great with a belt. We have it in dark violet and the grey shown. This organic cotton blazer is available in grey (not the navy shown). It is fully lined and features beautiful details like this..... The dress below is also 100% organic cotton and yes, of course it has pockets! We also have a new collection in the store by one of our very favourite jewellery designers, Nicole Bigg. New one-of-a-kind necklaces, handmade in Nelson, BC, featuring a mix of sterling silver, brass, bronze, copper, pewter, and stones, plus copper earrings on silver or gold fill hoops......
To celebrate Moonlight & Magic and thank you for shopping locally we are having a SALE this Friday from 9am-9pm and Saturday from 9am-5pm! Clothing will be Buy One Get One Half Price! (not including tees, accessories, or jewellery). Winterfest 2012 in Downtown Courtenay starts this weekend with Moonlight and Magic! Friday night there will be street performers, the tree light up, and even a live fire dance! Shops are open until 9pm on Friday and the music, events, and activities will continue on Saturday as well. So come downtown this weekend for magic, lights, sparkle and fire! We have a gorgeous new line of accessories in the store! Hand crafted in Montreal, Noujica accessories are made from locally sourced recycled and organic materials. They feature beautiful patterns and silkscreens made by hand. The Eye Corset Belt above is made from reclaimed leather and bamboo. It can be worn with the fabric part in the back or the front. The fabric is reversible and features a screen print on one side. We have the Eye Corset Belt in the colour shown in the photo as well as black (we also just received the atelier b. dress in the photo above and it's amazing!). The Braided Belt above is also made from reclaimed leather and elastic. It features a screen print across the braided leather. The Flap Bag above is made from reclaimed fabric and leather with lovely silkscreened details. The neck warmer and all of the other scarves below are made from a really soft, cozy bamboo and cotton fabric woven in Quebec. Noujica Accessories are so adorable, soft and cozy that we didn't want to leave out the little people....... Too cute!!! The hats are completely reversible with a different colour on the other side and they're available in sizes 1-2 years and 3-4 years. Also from Noujica, one-of-a-kind handmade silkscreened glass earrings...... We also have a new dress in the store by Happy Yellow Dress designer, Debbie Murray..... I'm sure we'll be seeing more Happy Yellow Dresses in the future!
